BREAKING: Internal sources confirm another round of layoffs just hit emails at Tesla. For real.
Let’s be honest WFH is all about Netflix, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube. Chilling at restaurants and Starbucks. Running errands. Taking care of the kids. Sleeping in. Getting off early. Or never showing up at all. TC: $0; laid off UPDATE: I accepted an offer from Meta will work from the Metaverse soon 😍
I definitely agree a small % ruins it for all, despite many honest folks doing WFH
Honesty shouldn't be in the equation. Measure performance on results.
Honesty while working would directly mean that they’re performing.
There should really be a poll option for people who WFH putting in *more* hours due to the blurred line between work and home
Or an option for can’t handle the responsibility of WFH because of bad time management or should be in the office because WFH clearly is something the person is sloppy about
OP, shouldn’t you be applying for jobs or something? Not sure if trashing WFH is helping you become not-unemployed 🤔
People actually work while at Home. Who isn't working? How would we keep the jobs otherwise. We all know most people try to do the right thing whatever they believe it to be.
I never liked WFH because it was easy to be distracted by other things. Great that other people love it, but just wasn’t for me.
Yeah I never have 3 coffee breaks during the day, 2 ping pong breaks, 2 hour lunches, a never ending stream of coworker interruptions, and leave early to beat traffic at the office.
Don't forget smoke breaks! When I was younger I was made to hang out at my dad's office for a day to "see the real world". Him and his coworkers spent at least two hours outside the office, just smoking cigarettes and chatting. Every day!
You clearly haven't seen how people 'work' at office. Most days when I go to office I get 0 stuff done, it's mostly talking, lunches, breaks or random ass celebrations
Add in ping pong with self and 30-min gym in between coffee breaks.
Sounds like a good time
Wouldn’t it show up in your deliverables, said another way - isn’t that the flexibility of WFH? Do all of that and still complete your assigned work.
Delve deeper into the micro mind of a micromanager.
I always have YouTube or something on in the background, but I did that in office too
How is chilling at Starbucks "not working"? During WFH, I often worked at a coffee shop because leaving the house improved my focus. Same with running errands. I have to take my dog to the vet either way - home -> vet -> home is faster than office -> home -> vet -> home -> office
Wanting to work from home may show a growth mindset -- that your time and energy are valuable, that you are willing to optimize your life, that you want to improve yourself, that you believe that the human mind can overcome the dead air space between your workplace and your monitor.
this was written by someone who was forced to go back in the office
Laid off hahahaha it’s ok you thought you were smart for moment there 😅
Wait... Microsoft did another layoff ?
