I keep getting recruiters for remote roles at Walmart but there’s no remote roles listed on Walmarts career page ? Maybe they’re phishing recruiters?
Yes. I just hired a fully remote employee to my team. The rest of my team works remotely but we live within 90 minutes of a Walmart “hub”. But we do t go into the office at all
Gotcha thanks. Sounds like a mixed bag from your comment and the one above
@yoOT06 do you have to stay within 90minutes from hub or can stay in different state and anywhere else?
Lol just had another Walmart recruiter hmu today except this time for on-site 6 mon contract. What an about dumpster fire of an offer for someone not local to Sunnyvale. “We don’t want to pay for your relocation benefits and we want to give you a 6 mon contract instead of w2”. Lmaoooooo

The end of Backdoor Roth?!
As far as I know, no. They did a big push a few months back for RTO and my director said anyone who didn’t RTO 2 days per week would be fired. There are some people who slipped through the cracks and some that ended up getting authorized for full remote, but realistically I doubt anyone is getting approved to be hired fully remote from the start right now.
Interesting. The roles the “Walmart” recruiters are trying to hire me remote for are mobile dev roles. I’ve also had Walmart recruiters ask me to go onsite for mobile dev roles but I ignore those. I’ve had Walmart recruiters hitting me up for these same roles for 3 years now so part of me wonders if they’re desperate enough for this skillset to offer remote
No remote. Walmart is silly. They are telling you "remote" primarily but you need to come to he office twice a week and live within 100 miles of a hub. The recruiter will probably bring this up as you advance through the process.
