Is audiobook/audible cheating for reading?
I get bored and sleepy when ever I take out any book to read, for technical subject I like to read blogs. I was able to finish 3 audio book in a month, can I say I finished reading 3 books or it would be a cheating.

Not 12 but I want to make it as read on Goodread for record keeping for my self. Cheating question came as it will show as I have read the book to my connection. That would be false impression, hence the question.
Who gives a F about cheating ? U r doing it for urself not to show anyone. Right? Right? Then only u have to know if u get out of audiobooks more than u can by falling asleep while reading. Now, on the other hand if u r doing to just say u read #X books, easier way is to just watch summary videos on YouTube.

Non-fiction is usually better in audiobook format. Fiction in audiobook is weird lol

Do you understand the book? If so then you read it. Doesn’t matter if it’s audio or text. Like nobody said you have to absorb the content in the way you dislike more. Let’s say someone read it and you listened. But the reader didn’t really get it or has a poor analysis while you have very interesting opinions on it. Who really read the book then?

Technical books likely need to be read so you can quickly flip back to previous sections. Fiction/story telling can be listened to.
This and taking notes for make studying. If OP just reads and doesn't study, no cheating there. Question is, how useful is that nonfiction to just read and not study?
Definitely it's for reading, not study. For study I jump to blogs and articles.

Some people are audio learners and absorb more than reading a book. Not cheating at all. Why is it a competition?
