I’ve seen recent studies that show Boomers hold a disproportionate share of wealth. It’s not news to anyone that younger generations—particularly Millennials and Gen Z—are basically poor and can’t get ahead, as the wealth gap between generations accelerates. My guess is that younger generations no longer believe capitalism works for them, and will look to redistribution by way of social programs and higher taxes. In other words: socialism. I believe this will happen once younger generations start voting in larger numbers. Do you disagree? Based on your age, which system is best: capitalism or socialism?
Boomers are pretty much the oldest retiring generation. Their wealth should be peaked right now. And in the next 10-20 years that wealth will belong to gen z/millennials.
Extreme starvation plus capitalism will be reimagined.
New Deal saved capitalism. Boomers and Republicans dismantled it. Is it any wonder that socialism is on the rise again?
