I understand these tech leaders come out and make these PR moves about RTO, but the in my own experience every time RTO comes back to the conversation at Verizon leadership has failed to get people back to the office. Are people at big tech companies actually going back?
From what I am seeing at Apple, yes. I know a few people who have recently been let go because they are not coming into the office. Another got a warning from HR because he didnβt come in enough days in a short period, he had called out because family was sick and agreed with his manager to work from home.
Google no, Apple yes.
Google - mostly to sorta according to my partner. He goes in every day but occupancy % of his floor fluctuates quite a bit week by week.
I come in at 9am and leave early afternoon on RTO days
Wait for it, our CEO just talked with 60-80 other CEOs π€£π€¦π»ββοΈ
