Leadership over - for now yes. Is Intel dead - HELL NO. Remember we are still among a handful companies in the world who can design and manufacture electronics that powers today world at a scale. Yes competition is fierce and TSMC, AMD and NVIDIA are ahead of us in terms of process and product delivery and our senior management is also probably at bad as it may get ( except for select few) but count us out at your own peril. There are still very talented engineers working their tail off to turn this around. So we are definitely down but we are not out one bit..only way is up for us
I’m graduating next spring should I apply to Intel? Last year it was among my tier 1 companies I wanted to join but now everyone told me it’s tier 3 and I might as well join Cisco or IBM if I’m joining Intel
Intel is going the way of IBM. Skip and join another company. Unless you have no options or are interested in workplace politics and creating fiefdoms.
Intel is stumbling? Yes but it's not dying yet. It's still one of the most respected companies in HW. However if the management team is not making the needed changes quickly, it will become another IBM.
No, not respected in HW. Things are rotting within, only a matter of time before it’s laid bare for everyone to see.

Now that TSMC deal in Arizona is more important than ever. Will be interesting to see if that deal comes to fruition or will be the same story as the Foxconn factory in Wisconsin
