due to redundancy, I no longer have to give my full notice if I’m resigning early. (I’m currently placed on gardening leave for the duration of the notice period). Should I let the new company know about it? Or will it adversely affect me ? #layoff
Take a break and keep your mouth shut.
I like the idea of getting a break. But my actual notice period is 3 months and I’m paid during this time normally so I can actually take a break. I fear that the new company might cancel the contract (due to some reason )during this period before I start working. Is it possible ?
Yes
No
One of the candidates I was interviewing recently disclosed that she is concerned for her future as the company she was working at was acquired. This candidate was really good and did well in all interviews of the loop. Hopefully we get to hire the person. It’s a 2 way street. You need to read the person before you divulge any info. Don’t make it sound as if you are looking for favors. Keep it simple and trust your skills and experience and talk about what value you can add.
Don’t reveal anything like this until you have an offer. No one is more likely to get a job just because they’re available sooner, unless it’s a job for a fast food restaurant.
No. You'll just get lowballed
Say nothing. It has nothing to do with the new role.
How does telling someone you're redundant benefit you
