Is it a good time to accept an offer as a Pm at FB?

Is it still a good time to go over to FB? Given growth is slowing and rumors of layoffs. Also hear a lot of people are terminated. How is WLB there?

I would say - 1 bad quarter doesnโ€™t define company.

WLB is bad, people get terminated all the time for bad performance and lots of growth opportunities in certain groups.

Is this for PM, Engineering or in general?

Which groups have more growth?

What layoffs?!? Yes, people get terminated, but itโ€™s not common. I think people also quit voluntarily when poached by others. AFAICT - WLB is bad compared to Google and fine compared to startups. Impact is great compared to Google and bad compared to startups. I work about 50/week and have done well.

What group are you part of?

50/week is not bad imo

I worked hard 60-70 hours a week my first year to establish myself and get a reputation, I hired a team now and dialed back to ~50 hrs per week. The PM role has a lot of authority and independent execution at most teams at FB. I have learned a ton compared to my time at Google

Do you feel like you had to work 60-70? And was it a hard 60-70 or addressing things that needed, a casual 60-70

Congratulations OP ! Kindly share the TC and breakdown. Hard to get such details for a PM role here compared to plenty of info for SWE rolo. Thanks!
