I have not invested(stocks) financially since I started my career. I have savings of about 120k in HYSA with 5% returns. I want to buy some stocks now, hopefully NVIDIA for about 20k hoping it to go 1200$ per stock by this November 2024. Is it a good move to invest in NVIDIA or suggest some stocks. Yes
Risk of AI bubble bursting seems to be high right now, and $900 also seems stretched.
If you are starting your investment journey go with ETF slike SPY, VTI, QQQ. You could put 10K of it toward NVDA.
Start with ETFs.
ETFs are for losers. Buy only winners.
Take out a second mortgage on your parents house. Anything less is just leaving money on the table. - not financial advice
^^ Gets it.

No. It's a AI hype bubble. Don't look at the stock price. Look at the market cap. Then compare to other companies in Tech. Do you think they are worth the same as Apple? Or Amazon? Think of how much customer facing product lines those companies have. In the next year two that bubble will burst. Look at the last EV craze if you need more examples.
EVs are here to stay dude or dudette.
My point was not about if EVs are here to stay or not. It was about the stock market craze that had anything to do with EVs. Now most of those EV stocks are a fraction of their peak value. I also agree that EVs will replace ICEs long term, but that takes time and infrastructure.
It's not crazy to YOLO 20k into Nvidia's momentum. You can definitely afford to lose that much and the chance you lose all of it is very low. Nvidia may get cut in half but it's not about to go down 90% in any kind of hurry.
