Hi Everyone, First of all I would like to convey my sympathies for the onle who laid off and I am happy to assit in the way that I can (referrals adn networking) I started my interview process for Reddit UK for Senior Software Engineer role. Though I survived 1 big layoff and mini layoffs in Shopify still not sure how long I can survive here. What do you think of reddit? Is it a good time to join them(or whats the layoff possibility in Refddit?) Thank you. #reddit #career #swecareer #uk #softwareengineer #advice #tech
Nothing to add. Good luck to you
Looks quite generous for this market.
What is the interview process like?
2 coding 2 system design 1 screening
Reddit is an awful company.
Why? Any specific points?
Friend of mine was a senior eng there and was appalled. Lots of tech debt, org politics, expectation of long hours. Said that the only people who didn’t want to leave his team were H1B or part of the problem
I heard through a grapevine that they are also preparing for layoffs…
I hear it’s performance based
Op you currently work in UK or US?
London, UK
Congratulations op, how did you apply? I'm interested in few ML roles
I have been contacted by a recruiter
Oh, do you think they are looking for machine learning roles?
what's the tc like?
Given range is 120-140 GBP base No joining bonus or perf bonus, pre ipo stocks aka paper money.
thanks, good luck on the process
