Is it better to take a month off before you start your first job to study frameworks?

Debating whether to take a month off before starting my first SWE full time job in order to learn the frameworks that were listed on the job description when I was hired. Or would I be better off just starting to work and learning those frameworks and concepts on the job? This is for backend engineering, which as a new grad I don’t have much exposure to.

Why would you take time off to learn what you are about to get payed to do? Take a month off but go do something fun.

Take the time to relax. You can always read up on the framework but don’t stress about it. It will stew in the back of your head and things will fall into place as you go.

I guess your employer knows that you don't have the background but expect you can pick it up easily enough. Learn in their dime and save your time off for fun.

You're about to be restricted on your time off for a while, better to spend that time doing something fun.

If it’s for a job you’re already hired for, learn on the job. Now, this doesn’t mean that doing the everyday job will educate you by miracle. You need to allocate time and study, but seeing how the framework is actually used at your job, and having access to a codebase full of practical examples will speed up your gain of real-world hands-on experience and understanding.
