If you're eligible for an upgrade, sure, request whatever you want. Otherwise please only request one if you have a business need. You're paid enough to buy one yourself if you don't meet those criteria. We trust people to make the right choices. That's one of the reasons we haven't had to become as "frugal" as some of the other companies yet. Please don't change that.
It looks like OP is asking about onboarding, so not related to our upgrade policy? Did we start aggressively steering people towards Android?
Yeah the onboarding form *strongly* suggests an android phone. Guess I’ll go with it for now

Onboarding implies new hire
I’m sure you know the stats about how many people access FB on Android vs. iPhone globally. Empathy is important. Personally I would never buy an android device which is why I chose one for work and keep a personal iPhone.
Empathy with who? Try running some ads on Facebook to drive revenue to your ecommerce business...
Do you go everywhere with two phones and two numbers then? I'm genuinely asking since I requested an Android and have a personal iPhone that I have no intention of giving up.
Never take a company phone. You can never know if they are snooping on you with some sneaky spyware that you can't remove
Always assume that everything you do on a work device (phone, laptop, whatever) is monitored (worst case scenario). Use your work phone for work and personal phone for personal stuff.

Business reason means testing for compatibility, that's it. What's next? Requesting only white iPhone for business reason?
