I’m wanting switch industries. I’m currently in the advertising/communications industry but wanting to move onto tech industry. Is SAP very selective to its candidates?
I think it really depends in which area / location you’re in. Currently there are external hiring freezes in most areas of the company, so currently it should be hard to get a job at SAP. My advice, keep looking and have patience on your side. Would also recommend trying to get referrals or knowing people there, SAP tends to like nepotism (like anywhere I guess?).
I got a Senior offer from them 2 years ago in the EU. Super easy, no effort at all. Not sure how if is in the US and especially with the current market
No, it is easy. All you need is a referral. SAP hires almost exclusively out of referrals. Btw, most positions you see are fake. It's standard practice to post a position that the HM already filled in with a friend (internal colleague). They post these fake ads to avoid getting a suit and for Compliance stuff. So don't be discouraged to keep applying, if you apply and never hear back. It's standard practice if you don't have a referral.
