Based out of Chicago. Have a new offer from Appdynamics(Cisco) for 150k/15%/30k. Given the current pandemic situation and Cisco layoffs, is it worth the risk to switch?
As long as you are okay with the stress of yearly layoffs and the new tc is a meaningful raise.
No to Cisco, period
Why not? Cisco has a quite high rating (3.7 overall, with 4.3 wlb) on Blind company review though
You can compare your offers if getting good offer from Cisco and joining stable team, like WebEx, Security, you can think of BTW we have 1 layoff in coming Oct, and some more next year You should be wise and select what you want After 6 years in Cisco, I said NO, I might be wrong. GL
Which role is it? And what’s the level?
Senior technical consultant
I heard AppDynamics is good. A teammate of my joined them last month. Is it G8 or G10? Is it remote or is the offer for the SF office?
If economy goes bad, Cisco layoffs can be brutal
Have nothing of value to answer, but jeez blind's 'related companies' is pathetic.
Came to leave advice. Forgot what it was after this comment.
