Hi, I am joining a new company as a Senior Software Developer. They are applying for my H1B via premium processing. I really love the new company and team so I would like to join asap. I heard people get RFE and denials for data scientist and PM roles. So I was wondering if there is a significant chance of H1B transfer denial for senior software engineer position.
Ya it is not advisable to switch
Wait for transfer to complete
Don't listen to recruiters they always find excuses to push you to join. You hold all the cards now just rest on your ass for the approval.
Thanks. It’s not recruiters. They asked me to join after the approval. It was me who was psyched to join.
If premium, you get the result in 15 days and 15 days isn’t much. Dont put in your resignation to the old employee until you get the decision of the h1b transfer. And yeah, dont listen to the recruiters. If they are forcing you, just tell them that its a standard practice to wait for the approval.
That affects only new(cap subject) applications
Thanks for the replies. I think I will wait. 15 days is not too much time.
Very risky move. However I did the same but I think I was lucky .
Wait for your transfer. I took me 4 months from offer to join date . I had an RFE for transfer.
No
I am sailing in the same boat, still contemplating whether to join on receipt or wait for approval. HM is insisting that i join on receipt.

Don't do it. Wait for the transfer to go through. Don't risk it. It's a few weeks delay, just move after you finish the transfer.
