I work in Germany. Germany is really employee friendly and there are strict laws about companies letting go of their employees. While I have known atleast two people who were let go after the initial 6 months called probation, it seems like its pretty much impossible to be fired after the probationary period unless you do something drastic like stealing from the company or harassment. The same was told to me by my skip level manager as well. My question is how does this work with Amazon's pip-ing policies? If you can't fire people in EU, will they still stack rank EU employees? And Amazon has been hiring like crazy across EU lately. #tech #amazon #pip
They can do all they want, once you are out of probation, and you do basic 8h job and don’t steal, harass or do any fraudulent activity, they can’t fire you, if they do, please make sure to have rechtschutzversicherung and within 3 weeks of termination letter, file the legal case against them. Do those rules apply to non-citizens? Just curious.
I think so. I am not from Germany and none of the people in my team are either including my skip level manager.
its not a rule but a law and they apply to German jurisdiction
