Hi Guys, I have an offer from Wolters Kluwer, Is it a good company to join ?
I’m on H1B, how good is Wolters Kluwer company for career growth? TC what they gave for Sr Software engineer role is very low, you can relate the salary to what staffing company like Kforce or Randstad offers. I’m in confusion whether to accept the offer and work until I find my dream job offer with 300k+ TC or reject the offer and continue the job hunt.
WK is by far the worst company to join while you are immigrants. My process for a green card took 6 years and I am not from a country where process is long (India or China). They will use you to the bone knowing that you are restricted because of a green card application. TC is not very competitive. Like their benefits. It is only in 2022 that they introduced paternity leave… that gives you the mindset of the company.
Totally agree . If you are on H1B stay away. They screw your life if you are on H1B. Once they start GC application, no promotion, no salary hike nothing. And they delay the GC process as much as they can . At least 4 years to the minimum. So for the 4 years , don't expect any change in your salary
The company is good. The management sucks. They never give you good pay and then expect you to work your ass off to get a promotion which you anyhow deserve. But they expect you to be in one position for at least 4-5 years. I would say if you have another company lined up, go for that.
Thank you bro , I don’t have other offers but I’m preparing to get a good job
Wolters Kluwer has 4 major divisions and 100s of different products across different divisions addressing needs of different geographies in different industries (mainly Tax and Accounting, Legal, Compliance and Healthcare). In general it is a good company with little lower TC but your learning and WLB will depend on location/division/product.
