Get a competing offer (if there’s time) and use as leverage to negotiate up initial stock grant. I’m L4 and paid low for Bay Area, but bonus was good this last cycle. Also I feel my career went 0 to 💯 since I joined, don’t regret a thing
They're killing the competition.
The Softbank deal helps by selling their foreign business to the overseas competitors. This stabilize Uber, but there goes the foreign upside potential too.
Uber has so much stake in their own rideshare competitors so if rideshare succeeds then Uber succeeds.

Thats true, Uber is stil 6-8x larger. But it was like 20x last year and 10x just a few months ago.
