Trying to find a private LTC insurance plan so that I can opt out of WA cares fund. Tried Statefarm, New York life, Northwestern but no one is accepting new applications. Did anyone find an insurance company recently that's still accepting new applications?#tech
The state doesn’t check or ask for proof when you opt out. You’d have to lie, which you shouldn’t do, but if you decided to risk it, there’s currently no verification.
Don't want to lie as I'm an immigrant. But would like to buy an insurance before Nov 1st.
You shouldn't lie regardless.
You can try life insurance with LTC rider. Most companies Statefarm, NYLife have stopped issuing new LTC policies.
I already have a life insurance from Microsoft. Additional life insurance will be extra $$$.
Depending on TC figure out the cost vs benefit numbers.
I have a LTC raider with Northwestern life insurance. They still accept the insurance with rider option, if you want Dm I can give you my insurance agent's contact. Not sure on how much time they take for new applications though.
I am connected with this agent at NW Life http://samfry.nm.com/ he said, if you can can get him the initial forms filled by Sunday night, there is barely enough time to underwrite a Life with LTC policy. If interested call him to receive the form and get initial assessment. It is very expensive though, in my case, age 52 the cost will be 2000+ per year at best. I am not sure it is worth it. Well above was estimate, actual quote turned out $4000. 🤬 Damn you WA.
That would be great. I got a quote for 10k a year . Insane
Same. Would like to know if there are options right now.
