I’ve been keeping an eye on Nvidia stock since October but never bought it. Of course the stock has skyrocketed. Is it too late to open a position in it right now?
Always wait for the dip or just buy the spy. Patience is the main reason most investors lose. Make that your pick for the next equities crash.
Spy?

Show me any other company with growth and future prospects than NVDA. If there exists one wait for dip
Bruh you work at Cisco. People said the same thing about them in 2000
Three years old article for the same comparison. https://seekingalpha.com/article/4477135-what-if-nvidia-of-today-is-the-cisco-of-2000 . Stop comparing every year
Way too late.
NVDA earnings is on Feb 21, if the stock can break 725, then the next stop will be 750. After earnings, it’s 50-50
🤷♀️
No one really knows but possibly the risk reward is not as attractive as it was some time ago. Demand does not seem to be a problem and the buyers - Meta, MS, Google, Tesla and others have deep pockets so it is not unimaginable that they may have a 30B quarter very soon especially since the competition is limited. If everything goes well, maybe the stock goes up another 25-30 percent. The risk in my mind is two fold - their margins are too high and the price of a H100 at 35-40k may not be sustainable in the long term - typically with efficiencies data center chips gravitate towards 7-10k range. The second is supply constraints - remember there is only one company that manufactures most of these high end chips for Apple, nVidia, Amd etc - TSMC, which will hit a roadblock in terms of production capacity - building a fab is a 10-20 billion investment and capacity building takes lead time. The risk of anything going wrong will pullback the stock quite a bit.

When is dollar cost averaging a bad idea They’re a strong company. It’ll be fine
Great company, terrible stock.
Genuinely curious, but what makes you say the stock is terrible? It’s my biggest driver of gains for the last 12 months. META has been great, but I also went thru a large dip that NVDA did manage to not do.
