I have a code signal test coming up but I don’t feel very prepared. I saw on Reddit people talking about how if you take a code signal test for one company, then apply to a different company that uses the platform, they will just take your first test. If I fail this, will it bar me from other companies that use CS?
You wont be banned forever but usually those are given up front to weed people out. If you can't pass that, they don't have any reason to interview you
I understand that for the company I’m applying to, but I think it’s pretty absurd to be barred from other companies. I’ve taken a few of these exams on other platforms (e.g. hackerrank) and I know that my performance can vary drastically based on the questions asked, my headspace etc
Ohhhhh, okay I misunderstood. No, it shouldn't affect other companies.
Please take some extraordinary measure when taking test with codesignal. If there is a sample test you can take, take it first to get familiar. I am kind of LC 4/4 guy in contest and found out their problems are of low quality and poorly written. Also the problems were more like reading comprehension test than programming. (Yet, all required long implemention like BFS on grid).
