Is it wise to take a job via consulting firm for Microsoft?

Imagine this like TCS. I don't know if I should leave my regular job. The consultancy sponsors and has big clients, like Microsoft, but is there good growth opportunity or should I keep searching via the normal route?#edgebrowser #Bing #microsoft

It can be a very good opportunity, just look at the money.. If they are paying you high salary means they are planning to place you with a client which pays high i.e msft etc so go ahead

The money is alright, actually. But the main concern is if consulting would look good enough on resume and I would learn industry skills or not.

What sort of consulting is this? Strategy? Tech implementation? Staff augmentation? If the pay is low and they're drawing you in with MS as their big client, that means they'll hire you and staff you on a boring client out in the middle of Minnesota. Big client != Your project

Which Firm?

I'd ask about how real the MFST possibility is. Or working with any other top firm. I worked for IBM for years and had one top tier client. The rest were mediumish. I have friends at TCS who were hired for a specific big client and still working there 5 years later, same client. It goes both ways. You can get stuck or could be moved around to a lot of different companies
