Green card backlogs have been piled up with no intent of clearing anytime soon and the way USCIS is treating new cases with immense delay with worst immigration services at all front including getting visa interview slots, is it worth living like this? I constantly feel that this is deliberately been kept like this so they can keep adding premium processing to more and more types of cases to increase revenues. this mostly applies to folks only from India and China.
Ya there is a delay in processing by 10 years for India..China not so long..just keep trying and patience pays.. my cousins have been here for a while still no gc yet... it'll happen 🙏
What are you smoking? It's more than a lifetime right now
Try living in Pakistan for a week you’ll love USA when you’re back
I.e. if you're back...
Parts of India are great to live in, especially if you are wealthy and connected. Salaries have risen so much that you can get 50% of bay area salaries there already. In a few years the difference will go down further.
Would stay here even if the backlog is a century and OP would happily do the same, it's a needless post
👆 this. These are usually ranting posts more than anything.
Speak for yourself, you don't speak for all of us.
Even for other types of visas it’s a mess. Last company didn’t pay for premium processing. Four months later a TN transfer physical copy still didn’t arrive. They eventually remailed it, still didn’t arrive. A year later I left the company since I missed two winter holidays with my family because I couldn’t cross the border without hassle if I didn’t have that copy. My new company got the physical copy to me before I even started work. I’m finally able to visit my family in Canada in a month.
Only reason to live here is high TC and literally no other reason. EU is much better in that case.
I am an American and this is the primary reason I have not left either
The entitlement is strong with this OP
How is it entitlement to expect the same treatment when it comes to immigration as another person with the same skill, same job, same hard work, same age, same degree, same yoe, same pay, same taxes paid etc but born in a different geographical/political man made boundary?
Because that’s not how the system works and the information was available before coming
Not anymore as TC for SWEs adjusted for purchasing power is excellent in China and India these days.
yikes @ suggesting live in China
people complain about this on blind every other week yet there is still a backlog since forever.
There are risks and you need patience. If you can't do either, leave. Noone forces you. It's a gamble and sacrifice you need to mame. Make your choice based on your risk tolerance given the data we have
