Go to Fb for 1 year, collect that 80k sign on, then get an external offer for a senior position.

The FB signon is really attractive I have to say. Maybe I can get the max 100k. Personally I also think of this route, but my family want me to stick with the existing offer. The existing offer company brought this offer and really make me feeling exciting and grateful

I mean, even if you shove the sign on into the first year of your TC calculation it's not that much bigger, no?

E4 for 9yoe is insulting. Your manager will be a kid with 5 yoe out of college.

yes this is true

What's your level at MS? If 63 then it's standard for FB to give E4. If 64 and above then definitely don't accept it .

FB is know to down level ppl. They try to use their brand and fool ppl by giving one level less. Don’t accept it unless they give more

Downlevel and a risk of suicide? Not worth it

Downlevel can be good sometimes: Are you sure you can survive as L5@FB?

Facebook wuttf Oct 16, 2019

We down level if we don't think you can perform at E5. However the promotion is super fast if you do end up performing at E5.

SAP ksYR03 Oct 16, 2019

That’s bs. Promotion is all as per schedule 2 yrs. no one cares. It’s just to get ppl at low level
