I recently got two offers (Indeed and LinkedIn), and I have rejected LinkedIn and accepted indeed. But now I am wondering if I made the right decision. Indeed: Seattle L2(Software Engineer 2) tc: 230k Linkedin: Bay Area entry level tc: 245k 1 YOE Amazon The main reason i chose Indeed is the title and position, is it worth comparing to the fame of LinkedIn?
I ditched LinkedIn for Adobe
I know some people that recently went to Indeed, and it sounds like a great company. I think you will not regret your choice.
Thanks, that makes me feel better
Well I'm biased 🤣
Can you split both TC ?
LinkedIn, Base: 160k rsu: 250k/4 year 10%bonus 40k sign on Indeed Base 170k rsu 150k/4 year 10% bonus 38k sign on
I would say MSFT stocks would have a lot of upside in next 4 years. Also, very solid offers considering your year of experience. Congratulations
LinkedIn promotes to sr. Level pretty fast. Although LinkedIn sr is more like G/F e4, it gives you the ticket to interview for sr levels at most companies. People would only consider you incapable of getting offers from better brands if you go to indeed.
Thanks for your advice, it is helpful
Indeed is giving you like 70% more cash flow. (Do the math, taxes + comparable CoL and quality of life, rent, etc)
Not sure about LinkedIn but Indeed have target refreshers every year. Welcome to Indeed, we have x-googlers, x-fb, x-uber, x-microsoft, x-amazon, so you will have lots of talented engineers to work with. Also, the stock grants we got last year (vesting in February) already grew more than 40% and I expect a lot more upside.
LOL Indeed is notorious for overleveling their employees. Don't fall for their bullshit L2 title, it doesn't mean much, your scope will be working on miniscule meaningless crap anyway. A good chunk of the Enterprise org which makes a big part of the Seattle office is getting phased out anyway to be merged back into SMB. They created a whole new vertical for Enterprise, splitting it from SMB, and now they're realizing how dumb an idea that was because of the company's inability to strategize and execute. All in less than 3 years. This company has no ability to deliver on any strategy so you'll be stuck doing stupid BS to play politics and pretend your team is doing something useful. Have you seen Indeed launch anything new or notable, ever? The answer to that should let you know how poor the leadership and management is.
What LI fame are you even talking about? Lmao
TC should be yearly
