Hi blind community. I recently got an offer at Deloitte India as a ux consultant. Currently I am working at a product startup with 3.8yrs exp , I am looking for growth and learning, so is Deloitte worth the switch? And also how difficult is it to make the swich back to product based co. later, please suggest. #design #ui/ux #deloitte
Deloitte is definitely worth the switch. Pros: Most projects and teams will be there to support you heavily, in order for you to reach success. Deloitte will gladly send you to continuous learning. You will be given a spotlight to present your work in front of the stakeholders, and even the clients. If you land on a chill account, seriously grasp it with arms and legs and don't let go for 2 to 3 years or until your contract expires. Trust me on this. Cons: Deloitte is still fresh in the contemporary tech space. Deloitte doesn't operate like agile SaaS companies. They can be very hands off. Most projects do not have a scrum master, you can be one yourself, (if you can multitask that with daily UX duties). Deadlines outside of PRT can be a bit arbitrary giving everyone a hazy look over the horizon marking goals distant. Not a bad decision, try to be realistic with your expectations though. Good luck!

I think consulting is better and opens up more opportunities if you don’t want to do UX design forever. You can move into design innovation and strategy roles at Monitor Deloitte.
I see, also Any idea on work culture is or how they validation design success considering I will be working on smaller features compared (from what I heard) to my current role where I am handling multiple apps.
