I’ve not yet been at Amazon for a whole year, but am thinking about leaving for Google. Do hiring managers at Google look at ppl switching companies after less than a year unfavorably?
No
No
The opposite is bad.
Can’t google wait for you to finish your year. That way you also get to keep 1 year bonus
5%? Lol
Not the vested stocks, the signing bonus which is often significant.
No offense but the opposite might look bad
Why?
I think that Google is a step up on resume
No
Hell no, just dip. It'll be an upgrade
If your close, consider waiting till end of 1 year for your second year signing bonus - but check if you have to repay it.
Amz 2nd year signing bonus is spread throughout 2nd year, not worth it
Google is absolutely a step up, go get that Google money.
Doesn't Google offer stand for 1 year? That all but guarantees you can interview at both, leverage Google offer to bump up Amazon offer, then work at Amazon for a year, leave and take the Google offer. I'm in the same boat. If I get into Amazon soon I'm still gonna hit up Google when my cool down is up
