I got hit up by a mathworks recruiter. I was a math/comp sci major in college, and for about 7 years did numerical modeling/simulation development, but that was 7 years ago. I have used Matlab as a novice but definitely not a pro. Any idea what those roles are like and what 15 yoe as a software engineer and product developer could expect?
Very poor in terms of TC. 3 years back, I interviewed with them for a PM role. I had 9 yoe engg domain experience plus an MBA. They bailed after saying 150k is high expectations for Boston area. 🤷♂️
Yeah, I'll pass on that. Maybe if it was 20hrs/week
FWIW, Dev pays better than PM. Plus the ranges were updated this year.
You should target FAANG with that background. A lot of interesting work for you
Ehh, thought about it for a bit but I don't have time to cram LC for some bullshit I'll never do in real life
Of course it is... We are not faang.

I've seen offers for india on this site, their TC for 7-9 yoe is similar to 1-2 yoe at big tech/startups here.
