I have 300K in moneymarket fund in vanguard. Is it safe or should I send some money to fidelity or Shwabs?
If the fund is highly regulated etf, then I think the risk is low. If it’s actively managed funds, then I’d diversify
Call and check if that is backed by SIPC ? ‘Vanguard Marketing Corporation is a member of SIPC, which protects its members for up to $500,000 (including $250,000 for claims for cash).’
Brokerage accounts are insured via SIPC. So you are protected Upto 500k
It's not safe anywhere. Give it to me

To my knowledge, money markets from those companies are not FDIC insured. That said if any of those 3 goes under our economy is in so much trouble I don’t know how the FDIC will be able to help.
Is it SIPC that does the insurance for stocks? Up to 500k
TIL about SPIC
