I graduated in December and started working recently( first job ). I feel I was really happy when I was in school though I was dependent on my parents for money. Now I am earning but feels like I am not that happy as I was before. May be I am becoming too much calculative or stressed with this money concept. Is anyone in the same boat? how do we handle this ?
No.
I don't think it is about money, adulting sucks and not having your friends around constantly suck even more
Ya may be this is one of the possible reason
School = an environment that you (or your parents) have to pay for Work = an environment where they have to pay you to be there Obviously there's a difference!
When u study you work on yourself and are surrounded by your friends..nobody will backstab you in uni..at work you work for somebody else, limited time to develop your skills the way you want and you’re surrounded by people who want to step on you...no big surprise that studying makes you happier. I’ve been there and this is how it is
Is there any way how do we deal with this or should I just accept the reality and live with it
A part of it is just accepting..but you can do something to help..for example take time for yourself at work..work on your skills..prioritize your happiness over your manager happiness as much as you can
Money gives you freedom
Money is the only thing that gives peace of mind
Quit FB, you'll be happier.
Been there...am here rather.
