I am a Systems Safety Engineer at Ford in the R&A division in their ADAS team. YOE: 8 (5 as a safety engineer & 3 as a software engineer) Current TC: ~116,000 Bonus: ~19000 Grade: SG8 Note: The above is with HTHD #salarycomparison #fordsalary #fordcompensation
I have a masters degree. I have no clue what a TC is. But 116k is my base salary. Of which goes the SSIP, insurance and taxes such stuff.
The bonus mentioned above is the AICP.
In my total rewards my total compensation is around 148k. Which includes base salary + employer paid insurance + predicted AICP etc.
That's a really good compensation btw. How come the bonus is that high? I know Ford bonus is low
Bonus is a bit higher if you are grouped under HTHD.
Lol no. That's a really good pay amount. How are Ford bonuses calculated? Do HTHD get a higher bonus target?
HTHD?
High Tech High Demand
Yes. I have been told HTHD gets a bit higher bonus. No idea about the math behind it. I have always been a HTHD.
That's quite good, especially if you're in metro Detroit where COL is low. With 20 yoe I was making $117k +20% as a systems engineering manager with a background in controls, integration, and FuSa.
I have friends who went outside for 135 & 170k. In aptiv and GM resp. Thats what kinda made me look around.
I would think you guy at GM is including the bonus right?
I dont think so. Most people i talk to onlu speak base pay and not TC.
