Hi, I'm been trying to get interviews from companies such as NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Pixar, Disney and some more. My focus is on computer graphics and I thought I have pretty relevant experience, yet not a single interview ... I've been applying online. I'm in Europe so that makes it a bit harder, since the mentioned companies have most of their workforce in the USA. So, is my resume just plain bad? Thanks. What roles are you applying for? If you're applying for more engineering focused roles, having only research/academic experience might be what's doing it.
Yeah, I'm applying to engineering focused roles. I hate my research job. So you think I first have to work for some shitty company in order to get noticed by the big ones?
Not necessarily a shitty company, but if you keep having no luck, you might have to start lowering your standards a bit so that you can get some industry experience on your resume
Education at the top is the standard for people that are relatively recent graduates.
I feel like I see education at the top typically even for senior roles. It would just be smaller.
Resume looks good for junior roles, more senior roles would require industry experience. Make sure you’re applying for the right positions
I would actually strip down the resume to include only relevant experience to the job your applying to. And don’t include words that your employer doesn’t care about. And I think applying online is usually not very successful. Ask for referrals to get interviews

I like to use novoresume.com it has the best format and I get a lot of calls from that resume. I think the downside of your format is not seeing a separate breakdown of skills applicable to the job you are applying to
