I’m looking at an software engineering role (called executive director) in MSCI and I was wondering if this role would be equivalent to L67. Are their technological challenges interesting? Has anyone transition from Microsoft to MSCI in the past?
Yeah i got the same sense when i talked over an explo call with them their tech stack is legacy , not sure about msci but ED in banks for example jp morgan etc is typically same level with l6s in faangs or tier 1 companies but since these companies dont grant stocks , compensation is not at par to tier1 companies .
What's your level at VMware?
Vmware is broadcom now , p5 at broadcom earlier staff engr..

I contacted two of them. Thanks for the advice. L67 is Managing Director / High ED, but none of them recommend me to join MSCI. It was more like “stay away”.
