Is there a bias against people who have been laid off?

If a hiring manager finds out that I've been laid off in the past, will it impact me negatively? Do I have to reveal this information at all?

No, it happens. Layoff or reorgs are not the same as being fired.

Then again, nobody really knows if you’re fired or laid off 🤷‍♂️

Laid off after 6 months in google will prevent you from ever getting a job again. Laid off after 5 years in yahoo is worth celebrating.

This is such horseshit.

Not in the U.S. But, if you are going to get laid off, do it after 40, the severance packages are much better.

Clover Health doenfh Jan 3, 2019

Wait why are they better?

OpenTable Meliodas Jan 3, 2019

Legal requirements.
