Currently I have 3 entries on my CV: 1st company - 8 years, started working here part time while I was a student, continued for 4 years after graduation 2nd company - 8 month, senior position at well-known tech company 3rd company - Jan 2019 - current time, lead software engineer at startup company With each job change I got reasonable TC increase and higher position, but now I want to relocate to another country and I want to take an interviews for a number of tech companies, e.g. Amazon, Google, Facebook. Does my history of changing jobs during last 2 years look like a red-flag for hiring?
Yes
You should definitely be able to explain this at every interview. Only the interviewer's opinion will matter.
Suck it up for another 6 months before looking for the next position
No one cares man
Nobody cares. I know people who have had 5 companies over a 6 year span and nobody asks. Everyone understands that comp wise it’s usually more advantageous to switch around.
In the worst case, they will consider you having 5 YoE!
No. My average tenure in a company so far is 7-8 months. And i am talking 6 companies.
Nope -as long as you are getting interviews why bother ?If there is some red flag I’m sure you will get feedback from recruiter .Having said that 1-1.5 years looks good so just stay for another 6 months
