Apple has always been about flash over substance, convincing their followers to spend more money because their designs are so hip. With the recent leaks of the square camera bulge, has Apple lost its way? Are they starting to prioritize function over form? What does it mean for the trend setters and chasers that make up Apple's user base? Are they going to continue to buy an ugly inferior product just because of the Apple brand? Thoughts?
They need to change the look of the phone ever so slightly with each generation so that people notice you have the newest one
You might tier 1 developer but you got tier 3 observation, good job.
And you’re tier 20 in response comments lmao
Overraction is my only reaction.
Android ecosystem sucks! Period.
How often are you staring at the back of your phone? Who gives a shit how the camera bump looks?
Everytime you take a picture that isn't a selfie? Putting it facedown on a table to show off that beautiful Apple logo? Holding the screen up to your face to unlock it? A lot of time the bump will be exposed for others to see. Most iPhone users bought their phones as a status symbol. Will people still buy an iPhone with an ugly status lowering bump when there are much sexier phones in the market now?
Yes! Finally...it Apple is exposing their bump to the world then so can I!!!! #freethebump
You’re right. Windows phone is going to make a comeback!
About time, really wanna be an universal app developer in C#
Some other phones are also going with the square camera bump. It’s the newest trend. At least Apple isn’t doing it 1 or 2 cycles after everyone else.
Pixel 4 also has a square camera bump. Let's discuss this after the actual products are out.
until Android's can match iMessage and group chat and solve the green bubble problem, wealthy people especially in the US will buy iPhones (unfortunately including me)
Sad but true. iMessage is strong attach.
“Apple has always been about flash over substance” is a delusion. Sorry. Some of their ‘flash’ is becoming commodity as others follow. But you can’t discount their history. Of course this square isn’t a fashion statement on the outside. But likely the next step in revolutionizing computational photography, and they’ll find their ‘flash’ there as well, opening up more personal creativity.
Most people here probably don't give a shit
Most people are not here.
Uh, but this is being posted here, isn't it?
