As of today, Is travel from US to India allowed? My mom is covid positive and hospitalized. I'm feeling worried. I'm thinking of going to India to see her. I want to be with my family.
You can go. Coming back is tough. Good luck. Be completely vaccinated and speak with embassy to be sure
You can go. If you have stamped visa with validity and accompanied by a US citizen ‘ex: kid’, you can even travel back to US from India
You can come back if you are a lawful permanent resident or have an US citizen kid under the age 21. Need to take kids birth certificate along. Am assuming you are here on H1B work visa and have a valid visa stamp for your return.
Can they come back without the visa stamp as well if they have a kid under 21?
Can't come back without a valid visa stamp.
Thanks everyone. I am on L1B. Till what date is travel back to US not allowed?
If there is a date, it will likely be extended with the amount cases. Just take EU for example, it's been having a ban for months together now even though their cases have dropped significantly.
Am I allowed to come back if 2 Pfizer shots are completed?
Vaccine shots are not a passport yet. You can review all requirements at: https://www.traveldoc.aero
2 weeks back one of my teammate rushed to India and he came back yesterday
He must have had a US Citizen kid. A friend of mine had to go to India due to her father's death. Now she can't come back because she doesn't have a US Citizen kid. She's stuck there and her job is at jeopardy at this point.
Thanks for the clarification
You are allowed to visit during a family emergency. Please check with an Indian embassy
Good luck getting any answer from Indian embassy over phone or email.

Should I leave Amazon for Walmart?
Sorry to hear that. If you are an Indian citizen, I guess they should allow you. Call the embassy maybe to be sure
The going is easy, it's the coming back part...
