There's "a GOP-wide effort to use the fears and frustrations of Americans worried about another round of school closures and lockdowns as cudgels against their Democratic opponents." But, of course, the return of restrictions is the direct result of Republican efforts to dissuade Americans from getting vaccinated and keep those COVID-19 case rates high. It's important to remember that this is still a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Case rates are rising rapidly among the unvaccinated, who tend to reject other prevention measures along with vaccines. There are also breakthrough infections, though they affect fewer than one-third of 1% of the vaccinated. https://www.salon.com/2021/08/12/its-ok-to-blame-the-unvaccinated--they-are-robbing-the-rest-of-us-of-our-freedoms/
"But, of course, the return of restrictions is the direct result of Republican efforts to dissuade Americans from getting vaccinated and keep those COVID-19 case rates high." - Massively moronic take. So it's Republicans who want to lock down again? No? Or is it just Republicans who make the Democrats want to lock down again?
Pfizer was only 42% effective in vaccinated individuals. That means, 58% of the vaccinated will get infected if exposed to it. Since delta is the dominant strain, the infected, vaccinated individuals spread just as much as the unvaccinated infected individual. Therefore, a regular infected vaccinated person spreads coronavirus half as much as an infected unvaccinated. To me it does not look time a pandemic of the unvaccinated. It is a pandemic of the ones who don’t social distance. Don’t let these articles spread hate. Spreading hate is their way to capitalize on the pandemic. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/pfizer-vaccine-efficacy-dropped-when-delta-became-dominant-study-2021-8%3Famp
If everyone stayed indoors for a month. We chillin.
Also, you can also blame CDC and Fauci for the false promise that the vaccines bring freedom. That is a false promise, easily predictable. 1.5 years into the pandemic and we only had produced enough vaccine for 20% of the world population. Variants are coming up much quicker. So I don’t agree that vaccines could eradicate it. They became a preventive drug
The real problem is billionaires getting richer and lack of diversity in tech
“Yeah just so we are all hating the same think f*ck GOP amirite?!” You people never run out of ways to scapegoat.
No the Dems are doing that
Who cares what the GOP says. I’m in a blue state and the Democrats control every layer of government from the Presidency all the way down to the city council.
Long live the Cult of Mask and Vaxx.
All hail sir fauci !

Vaccinated people do get sick and do spread the virus too. They are simply less likely to do a hard version when sick.
That last part is important. There are very real consequences to hospital beds filling up, and medical personnel burnout. And it extends to all medical needs, not just covid.
Sure last part is important. That does not validate the hate in this article
