I received an offer from Livspace a unicorn startup with 22LPA fixed (only pf included) + 4 LPA joining bonus + 12.6Lacs ESOPS (vested over 4 years with no buyback). ~ 26Lacs for the first year(including the paper money) I gave the interview for SDE 2 but was downleveled to SDE 1 UI. Tech stack (Vue and Java and no unit testing). WFH currently upto next year. I also had a soft offer discussion with Bazaarvoice for full stack profile there initial offer is of 21Lacs including PF and 5% annual bonus and they are working in hybrid mode (3 days office from Bangalore). Eventhough I told my expectation is of 25 LPA fixed. Tech stack - Angular 1.x and React and Scala with unit testing PTOs 21days + 7 days shutdown during New Year + 8 sick leaves.(Bazaarvoice) I showed a competive offer of 20LPA to both of them. I am currently on notice period and last date is mid may. I am joining the firms in June. Current Compensation 7.6LPA(fixed). They don't have a strike price because no buy back option is there
Also there ipo is also not done this is what the hr told me
given the offers, joining the first company makes more sense as they are giving a joining bonus and is remote for a while. The tech stack is better as compared to angular 1x. Also you would not want to relocate to bangalore at this time where rents are sky high.
But I am thinking of switching within an year so the joining bonus won't make much sense.
