The Navy shared internally with the rescue operation, just not to the public. I think it wasn't a bad thing they didn't share, they kept on searching assuming there could be survivors, as they should. The worst offender was Thailand's radar tracking of MH370. They knew the rescue operation was searching at the wrong place, because they saw the jet flown in another direction on their radar. They didn't tell anyone initially fearing China would know about their tracking capability and increase hostility. Similarly, navy could be contemplating if they should hide their underwater listening posts capability.
Military secrets are important for national security.
Who gives a fuck
The public loves this story very much. Duh.
Because they didn't have debris to prove that it was indeed this sub.
I genuinely don't understand why people care about this story so much
How this all should have gone - [Random news headline]: People die doing something dangerous in a shitty submarine "Yep, sounds about right" *keeps scrolling*
At least with the Malaysia airline flight there was a bit of mystery to it. Like how the fuck do you lose a commercial jet liner. This one was obvious from the get go
so the next bath of visitors will see the previous batch of visitors, that's good sighting under sea
Cuz they wanted to be sure 🤷♂️?
The navy informed the coast guard right away but added the data wasn’t conclusive enough to warrant canceling a search. They made the right decision in not sharing with the public. Let the right people do their jobs without distractions.
This
It wasn't definitive
Because the Navy is the Military, and the military 'shares' information with the public when they deem necessary or appropriate

Why does it matter to us to know what happened to the sub
Right??? Feels like a weird distraction by media. I wonder what big event is happening that they wanted our attention on this so badly
