Hey all, I realize that this is kind of coming from left field, but I opened a RobinHood cash management account last month and moved all of my savings from my checking account to this new account. The issue is, when I was linking my account to external budgeting apps like Mint, RobinHood thought it was suspicious activity and froze my brokerage account as well as closed my cash management account. Long story short, I had thousands of dollars frozen in my RobinHood account all month. My account was unfrozen a week ago, and today I was informed that I’d need to make a new Cash Management account entirely. This was fine with me, until I got my new account and routing number only to find out that THOSE new numbers are also invalid. I simply can’t use any of the money that’s in the account because for some reason, the account number wasn’t activated properly. It’s been kind of a nightmare. At PayPal/Venmo, whenever employees and their friends / family have customer support issues, we can escalate their problems and have them resolved more quickly. With thousands of dollars frozen and rent & credit card payments coming up, I was wondering if anyone at RobinHood could somehow elevate this issue for customer support to help me finally get my account working again. I recognize that I am not friend or family, but with my financial well-being on the line, I would sincerely appreciate a Good Samaritan today. If anyone can help, please PM me. Thank you.
I have no idea why people still use RobbingHood with countless stories and fuckups like these
I was naive I guess. Saw the decent APY, liked the convenience of having my debit card linked to an investing account. I never imagined even after all the horror stories that this would happen to me.
You do realize Fidelity has all of that too for a fraction of the cost and no compliance violations!
I saw Schwab has something similar as well. The APY looks a little low though. What’s Fidelity’s? FTR, I plan on investing most of my savings, but for the emergency stuff, I’d like a decent APR (at least after the Fed increases interest rates).
Fidelity is a peer to Schwab.. but better
There is no phone number to call :(
Oof
Send me your case number in DM
Call FINRA and complain.. I bet Robinhood will get their shit together fast.. and FFS .. open a real acct at Fidelity or Schwab!
