I'm a CA technologies employee working as a SSE, would like to know if Broadcom gives any RSUs for CA employees after the acquisition. If so, any idea how many RSUs will they give for an SSE with 125k annual salary? PS: I am from a profitable BU in CA technologies, we are not seeing any uncertainty in our BU
Forget about RSU, worry about your job, if they will retain CA Tech employees
AFAIK my BU is cash cow for CA, not anticipating any major changes
Lol says everyone who’s gonna get acquired. If your BU’s a cash cow, Broadcom mgmt will have more interest in taking over your BU. But I know you are confident so best of luck.
Any company fires like crazy about 1 yr after an acquisition, but BRCM/AVGO is the king of acquire and fire. Just ask Brocade employees, who used to have a nice HQ office in SJ, which is now vacant.
I have heard Broadcom is not a good place to work anymore. BTW, what is SSE? CA was anyways owned by private equity I guess.
Not a good place for Software Engineers for sure. SSE is Senior Software Engineer. CA is public since long time.
We are hearing of a “welcome bonus” in form of RSUs that will be part of our initial offer but size not known
If CA does not offer RSI. Does that mean your base or bonus is pretty high, like the Netflix model? If so, not sure about the size of “welcome RSU”. But just a reference, My “welcome RSU” was about 370 as level 4 hardware engineer.
Thank you - that is a bit higher but not completely off what has been discussed
Lol
They will give welcome rsu.. number will be constant for all based on each person’s title
uarex, how is your BU?
And bam. Hock Tooey doesn't waste time.

How bad is it in meta?
You’ll get your current RSUs converted to AVGO. Not sure about ongoing.
CA technologies doesn't give any RSUs for SSE
Well, more than zero.
