I was working in Amazon and was put on PIP. I received offer from Microsoft during this period. In the background check by First Advantage, I am asked the question 'Who do you report to?' and I have to put in name, designation, mobile number, email id. It is confirmed that they will call on the provided number. Since I am on very bad terms with Manager, it is obvious that he will provide negative feedback for me. I do not know if Amazon gives details of reporting manager to First Advantage. What can I do? Please help. I really need this job. #Microsoft #amazon
From my experience, they never call to the number. What's your tc from Microsoft?
Fingers crossed
Don't provide a direct number, they cab verify from HR and they don't say the reason you left
Just find a friend at Amazon and get them to act like your manager problem solved
HR# and general hr email. The callers are working in a call center and give 2 sh*its, you are just a checkbox in their workday. You’re not allowed to give out personal contact info anyway.
Amazon will not discuss your performance only verify your job title and dates of employment. They use the work number. When I left aws for MS I indicated I didn’t want them to call them and I provided my employment verification letter which is an automated document you can get via A2Z app.
Hey! Did you also go through PIP? I’m sorry I don’t want to sound rude but I really need some help.
No company will risk a lawsuit based on right to employment/one's livelihood. In America and a lot of countries right to livelihood comes way above your pip contract with your employer. If the managers are friends and they tell each other "off the book" that is a whole other thing but you would not know if that is the case
Did they contact to the Phone Number or Email ID ?
What should we fill if we don't have any specific HR's phone number
Can you resign and say you don’t work there?
Failed PIP. How can I say I didn't work there....it's in my employment history
I meant resign and say you’re are not currently employed and give the contact of an old manager at Amazon.
