Capital One Power Day - PM
Hey folks Anyone here do the Capital One power day? I have one scheduled and am freaking out. Will forever be grateful to anyone who can share advice / tips / their experience of do mock interviews Cap1 people that can help, I’ll refer you to MSFT 🙏 TC: 200k #capitalone #powerday
Ex. Capital one PM here. What role and level are you recruiting for? If you are even a decent PM at Microsoft, I don’t see a reason to freak out. Interviews are basic and almost similar to experiences shared on Glassdoor, so make sure to go through them. Also, most of the cap1 leadership doesn’t have experience in product - they are learning on the job too.
Why MSFT to Capital One?
This is the real q. Cap one is not going to come anywhere close to Microsoft comp
Cancelled on them 2x because of their ridiculous process. They should up their TC if they want to make you jump through hoops like a zoo animal. Will never apply there again

Yep, will never interview w a company that mandates unpaid work as a part of the interview process again. Unless they are 2x my TC

Hi! No longer at cap1, but the best advice you’ll get is to watch the videos and follow the guides your recruiter should have shared with you. For the analyst case, there are YouTube videos walking you through examples. Mine was almost exactly the same as the YouTube video. Math is very simple, if you can do basic multiplication and division you’re fine. Good luck. Capital One is not what it used to be, so if you get an offer, make sure to thoroughly vet the management you’ll report up to.
