It’ll probably be in the mortgage department. Not doing too well nowadays with demand falling from previous years.
I know that JPM already conducted layoffs and restructuring in mortgage division back in 2022. It’s going to be across the board.
I thought JPMC as a safe bet so was considering them despite pay cut . Interviewed with them recently and the recruiter hasn't got back. I think this could be the reason.
When do you have the interview and how far do you go? I think I got into the same situation…ask them several times about the final decision but the recruiter just replied “let’s connect tmr” and never reply again
JP never does layoffs in Jan. They'll wait for March. There's always a bunch of attrition in Feb after bonus payout, which lowers the number of layoffs needed. (Ex-JP manager who had to do layoffs multiple times 😟)
Hi google, could you tell me when will they decide how much people to hire at the beginning of year? I am hanging there now
Heard this as well from people in the company and, as a new hire that is a month old, I would really like to know if there is any potential for layoffs for new hires. I see an increase of team politics where people are trying to justify value but I’m not sure when/if layoffs will hit our team, despite a budget cut from last year. Can anyone provide further details?
I think this information if accurate, really depends on the department. There are some departments too short staffed to lay anyone off. They closed out all our team openings months ago so if you were hired recently I’d imagine the team really needed people.
Im suppose to join in CCB design. How safe is it? Any idea?
