HubSpot recruiter cracked me up

I had an initial screening with a HubSpot recruiter about a SWE position. I asked her, “Since HubSpot aims to grow rapidly, how has its culture changed over the past few years?” She answered by telling me that HubSpot has implemented a “performance culture”, and she described it as “being like a friendly competition” between teams. She said this while doing her best to maintain a positive and professional tone, even though I knew she was BSing, and she knew I knew. I LMFAO’d and resisted every urge in my body to ask her whether that friendly competition involved pips and forced attrition. TC: $500k
