Deloitte vs Amazon ?
I got offers from Deloitte as a solution specialist with base of 110K+10K sign on bonus and another offer from amazon as new grad SDE with base 129K +28K sign on and 94k in RSUs. I have 3.5 years of consulting experience and I’m wondering which one should I go for? Or should I keep interviewing? I am okay with the coding part but this is not something that I really want myself doing down the line. I have done my masters in Data Analytics and want to pursue a career as a data scientist or machine learning engineer. Is it easy to transition from SDE to Data Science if i stay with any firm for an year ? Should I negotiate with Amazon on Salary? Deloitte will not increase for sure. Also any other advice is much Appreciated! #deloitte #amazon

Amazon. In addition to tech, amazon announced stock split and am sure you are gonna make lot of money with amazon.

Amazon > Deloitte. Also, USDC talent model at Deloitte pays 🥜 Try asking for Core Consulting model instead if you really want to explore and gain consulting exp. If you value money over WLB, go with Amazon. I’d say keep interviewing, good luck!

Why the transition? Any reason?
I couldn’t apply for my h1b this year and deloitte told me that it will be done next year. Hence I thought I’ll keep interviewing and try getting a job in FAANG before the next cycle.
I meant transition to DS? The more you try to leverage your past expertise more easier the switches will be.
How’s wlb at Deloitte?
