Is this work worth it? I have spent 60k on this work in our basement: - delete old sewer infrastructure such as check valve and then build a sump pit + ejector + new sewer infra in a new location. - replumb connections to attach new sewer infrastructure to public sewer. This required major excavation inside and outside. There was damaged pipes inside and outside that had to be replaced with new PVC. - add trough drains outside both side entrances in basement and build channels to the ejector pit for them. For one side entrance this requires building stairs downward along the side house walkway so the drain is 6" below side entrance door. - demo basement bathroom and replumb it for new layout. - demo ceiling and walls to expose old plumbing and make room for new plumbing. - rewire basement electric to go from 100A to 200A and upgrade utility wiring. - replumb pipes to go from lead to copper for plumbing servicing kitchen from the basement. - install tankless water heater. How badly did I get ripped off?
So you still need to drywall, paint, and flooring? Not too bad IMO - some of that plumbing work is heavy duty.
Rewiring a 1500 square foot house is $20k alone.
I didn't rewire entire house.
Bro really used the word delete πππ
And bro's contractor didn't understand the requirement and charged extra for it
That sounds like a lot of work - probably could have did it slightly cheaper but also could have gotten more expensive
This is normal. You need to mention when your house was built and what region.
