Interview rituals
Just wanted to share something fun and have a light conversation with y’all. What are your virtual interview rituals you do before you take the call? Mine is as follows: Say the interview is at 1 pm. 12:30-12:45 - watch some comedy tv 12:45 - change into my fav interview shirt 12:45–12:50 - walk around the house 12:50 - use restroom and comb hair 12:52 - while walking back from restroom drink DayQuil , take water bottle and come to my work desk 12:55 - connect to the meeting link 12:57 - take a sip of water 12:58 - take 5 deep breathes 1 pm - start smiling at the camera (yes like an idiot even if no one has joined haha) What’s yours?? :) PS : just have fun and don’t make fun of mine or others’ quirks :) Have a good day!! #misc #interview #rituals #tech
Take a pen and paper and write all the things that can go bad and then throw the paper in dustbin

I got a job yesterday my interview was at 12:45 pm, I went to shower at 12pm got dressed etc it was 12:35pm in 10min I took a leak, prayed to god for 10sec (I normally don’t pray) 12:43 opened google meet link 2pm to 2:45pm break, 2 to 2:15pm tried to optimize the program I wrote in the previous round, 2:15 to 2:30pm warmed up left overs and ate, walked around the house, continued the interview was finally done at 4:30 pm, 6:30pm recruiter called to say I cleared the interview
Why DayQuil?
The first time I had cause I had a cough and this was 2 months ago. That particular call went really well. After that, well you know how human brain works 🙃
