Trading firms safe?
What’s the sentiment on trading firms (mainly the ones that performed well last year - cit, js, etc) in this economy? Safe to join one? More stable than tech in the near future?
This is the year of trading firms. They are gonna mint gold this year.
Very safe. But don't forget, performance assessments are a lot stricter here, people let go left and right. No PIP no cuddling just out.
Didn’t CitSec lay off some folks just now? Saw a post about that wonder what happened, is it just Kenny G’s mood swings?
People constantly get fired in Citadel, mostly for performance reasons. They are replaced with new people - it is not a layoff.
Trading desks love volatility. They will be very profitable this year.
